2022 Montalto The Eleven Chardonnay, Mornington Peninsula

When you’re the flagship, you must stand out from the crowd. Yep, this does. Tight, linear, pure, and racy but all that is not at the expense of flavour as there's a depth across the palate. Nougat, roasted cashews and clotted cream lees. Delicious and textural yet this is mostly super fine, flinty and moreish with just the right amount of funk for a disco dance. It unfurls in time and while fabulous today, it’ll reward more with bottle age. Hard to resist though. JF 13% alc.
