2021 Eastern Peake Two Mile Hill Chardonnay, Ballarat

A magical wine, complete with tension and drama. It tastes of almonds and nectarines, Aussie bush spices and cream, lemon butter and mint. It's tight. It unfurls slowly in the glass. It's wheaty and long, with smoky/ reductive notes and tonic water aspects as well. Decant it for at least an hour or two. I can't quite emphasise the word tension enough; it's as if there's an electric current running through it. CM 12.8% alc.
