2022 Sinapius Vaughn’s Jardin Gamay, Tasmania

The Tasmanian equivalent of Cru Beaujolais. All detail and space, dappled light filtering in and highlighting fruit and place. Smoky charcuterie notes roll in, melding with wildflower, mountain herbs, exotic spice, crushed rock and pressed flowers. Savoury and stony pure with impressive drive, flow and palate presence, finishing with clarity and a sense there is something special going on with this little patch of gamay. It's a beauty. DB 12.5% alc.
