2021 Hare’s Chase Vigilance Marananga Shiraz, Barossa Valley

To me, shiraz from Marananga speaks of compression and fruit density with an ironstone-studded, ferrous character to the tannin structure. That train of thought certainly manifests itself in this wine. There is a velvety fruit flow, layers of spice and an extended finish of macerated berry fruits, chocolate and softly spoken vanillin oak. An excellent wine from a strong vintage. DB 14.5% alc.
