What do you love most about your region?

Great Southern is the region where I grew up. My parents purchased our Mount Barker farming property 50 years ago (in 1973) and my husband and I planted the 3drops vineyard in 1999. Our vineyard and olive grove represent our family history in this region, which is renowned for its breathtaking natural beauty. It features diverse landscapes, including pristine beaches, rugged coastlines, lush forests, and rolling hills.

What makes Great Southern the ideal region for your style of wine? Great Southern's cool climate contributes to longer, more gradual ripening periods and results in wines with greater complexity and balanced acidity. The combination of climate, geographic diversity and terroir make it an ideal location for producing premium wine, particularly riesling, chardonnay, pinot noir and shiraz. These factors, along with the region's breathtaking scenery and high-quality wines, contribute to our strong reputation in the world of wine.
