2018 WREN ESTATE MXW HEATHCOTE SHIRAZ

This asks a lot of the drinker, like ‘try not opening the bottle for another 10 years at least’. Built to last, MXW presents a dense, rich Heathcote shiraz with a nod to the Old World – fermentation in a bees wax-lined lagar – and an eye on presenting an age-worthy shiraz with a modern New World oak sheen. Ooozes class with savoury tannins running firm from edge to edge. JP 14.9% alc.
