2019 RICHARD HAMILTON GHOST HILL SHIRAZ
A brooding heavyweight with an attractive lightness of touch. Boysenberry, dark cherry, raspberry liqueur, lilac, clove, smoked meats and mace barrel across a rich palate, defined by a peppery skein of acidity. Firm toasty oak pillars are still dominant. Finishes with a saline lick and drying oak, marked by mocha and bitter chocolate. The oak will integrate, given the wine’s sheer extract. Time needed. NG 14.5% alc.
