2020 BATTLES WINE FRANKLAND RIVER SHIRAZ

Spiced mulberry, pomegranate, raspberry, red licorice and pink peppercorn. Szechuan spice, star anise and bucket loads of berries. This is a fete. A party. It’s epic. It could do with another year in bottle to help things settle down, but the pedigree of tannin and structure inherent in this wine, along with fruit weight and density, shows it will go the distance and then some.
