Heartland calls this wine ‘the apex of our achievement’ and Langhorne Creek has had extraordinary success with the cabernet/shiraz blend (69/31% here). This is a well-worked synergy: a rich, dark, blackberry crush of aromas to begin, good concentration of fruit, integrated oak influence (12 months in new French and American barrels) and shiraz ripeness giving a sophisticated feel and elite styling.
